Ivonne Palacios

Hi there! My name is Ivonne, I am an English teacher with over six years of experience helping students improve their communication skills and gain confidence in speaking. Also, I am a traveller who enjoys meeting new people, trying tasty food and teaching English, because, in my opinion, language is the most powerful tool we have for communication and connection, it allows us to express ourselves, understand others, and connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

My teaching approach is centred on fluency and real-world use of language. We both can work on discoreving the languange while learning about culture, popular traditions and customs. I design personalised classes that focus on speaking and listening, so students learn through use, discovery, and reflection, rather than memorising rules first. I believe that when students are actively involved and encouraged to think in English, progress becomes natural and lasting.

I aim to make my classes dynamic, interactive, and relevant to each student's goals and interest. Whether someone needs English for work, travel, or daily life, I adapt materials and conversation topics to create a safe and motivating space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and growing from them.

Over the years, I have worked with a wide variety of learners-from beginners to advanced speakers-and my main priority is always to help each person feel more fluent, confident, and empowered when they use English.
